Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking a Piping Superintendent in Birmingham, AL to lead field operations on piping projects. You will supervise crews and coordinate daily activities, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specs, and schedules while maintaining safety on site.

Ideal candidates have extensive piping construction experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades. A Journeyman license is not required for this role.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of piping construction experience as a Foreman or Journeyman or 1–3 years as a Piping Superintendent.
• Strong commercial, industrial, mechanical, or process piping construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and piping plans.
• No Journeyman license required.

A growing construction organization is seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent to lead field operations and ensure piping projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

What You'll Do

• Supervise piping crews and subcontractors on active construction projects.
• Coordinate daily field activities, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Read and interpret piping drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades.
• Monitor installation quality, productivity, and jobsite safety.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–7 years of piping construction experience as a Foreman or Journeyman, OR 1–3 years of experience as a Piping Superintendent.
• Strong commercial, industrial, mechanical, or process piping construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and piping plans.
• Strong crew leadership and field-management skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and project activities.
• Solid knowledge of piping installation methods, materials, and construction practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• No Journeyman license required.

Compensation

• $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience
