Our team is currently looking for a Piping Superintendent for one of our clients in the LNG Industry.
The Piping Superintendent is responsible for supervising and directing operations within the piping discipline. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.
- Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.
- Schedules work to be performed, and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
- Determines workforce requirements.
- Coordinates established area operational plans.
- Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
- Oversee the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
- Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance follow specifications and within schedules and budgets.
- Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
- Oversees engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills)
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead team members effectively & positively in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems in high pressure situations. Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience in a supervisory role commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
- Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generating station construction. Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
- Experience developing pneumatic and hydrotest packages in addition to verifying and witnessing acceptance of tests.
- Understanding of applicable company work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures.
- Knowledge of Project company Standard Applications (BSAPs) including Setroute, Unifier, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Agile, Navisworks, and other automation tools which are used on client’s projects.
