Job summary

Teamind is seeking a Piping & Structural Estimator in Kaukauna, WI, to partner with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients. The role focuses on reviewing drawings, developing accurate cost estimates, and preparing competitive proposals for piping projects.

You will review project data, determine material and labor requirements, research pricing, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure estimate accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related education, training, and experience.
• Strong ability to read technical documents, prepare routine reports, and communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• Working knowledge of math concepts used in estimating, including geometry, ratios, percentages, and proportions.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve routine problems in a structured work environment.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and project data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Research supplier, vendor, and subcontractor pricing and develop proposals based on material, labor, and subcontract costs.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to clarify scope, resolve issues, and support estimate accuracy.
• Identify cost trends and recommend improvements to estimating processes and cost control efforts.
• Perform all work safely, follow required procedures, and escalate unsafe conditions to supervision.

Job description:

The Piping & Structural Estimator partners with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients to review drawings and specifications, develop accurate cost estimates, and prepare competitive proposals for piping projects.

Summary of Major Responsibilities/Duties:

• Review drawings, specifications, and project data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Research supplier, vendor, and subcontractor pricing and develop proposals based on material, labor, and subcontract costs.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to clarify scope, resolve issues, and support estimate accuracy.
• Identify cost trends and recommend improvements to estimating processes and cost control efforts.
• Perform all work safely, follow required procedures, and **escalate** unsafe conditions to supervision.
