Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Los Angeles seeks a Piping/Plumbing Engineer II to design and document energy-efficient systems for healthcare, laboratory, industrial, and institutional facilities.

You will develop designs from concept through criteria, reference basis of design, and incorporate user input and code research. Requirements include a BSAE/BSME and 3+ years of relevant experience; PE license or pursuit thereof is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSAE or BSME is required.
• 3+ years of experience designing piping/plumbing for healthcare, laboratory, industrial or institutional facilities.
• PE License or ability to become licensed.
• Experience with engineering design software (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document piping/plumbing system designs from concept plans and design criteria.
• Interpret basis of design and information from users, partners, field surveys, and code research.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver energy-efficient building solutions.

As a Piping/Plumbing Engineer II in our Los Angeles office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will exercise independent judgment to develop and document system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria and interprets and utilizes information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.

Expertise Of Our Most Successful Piping/Plumbing Engineer II

• BSAE or BSME required.
• 3+ years of experience in designing piping/plumbing systems for healthcare, laboratory, industrial or institutional facilities.
• PE License or ability to become licensed.
• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
