Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Boston is seeking a Piping/Plumbing Engineer I to support energy-efficient building solutions. You will learn under senior engineers and mentor designers as you contribute to project tasks.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum GPA 2.5.
• Non-academic internship.
• Leadership in student activities preferred.
• EIT/FE is a plus.
• Internship in MEP consulting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations, determine system sizing and layouts.
• Calculate equipment sizes and select equipment.
• Complete field surveys and review equipment shop drawings.
• Lead piping/plumbing project teams as you gain experience.
• Write specifications and participate in client meetings and reviews.
• Support construction-phase work.

Expertise of our most successful Piping/Plumbing Engineer I:

• BSME/BSAE from ABET accredited school in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Non-academic internship.
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred.
• EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus.
• Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.
