Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Houston is seeking a Piping/Plumbing Designer II to translate system design concepts into concrete layouts for energy-efficient building projects.

You will interpret basis of design, gather input from users and project partners, and ensure codes and standards are reflected in detailed drawings. The role requires familiarity with AutoCAD or REVIT, with Navisworks experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design or commensurate experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of building systems; experience in at least one discipline such as fire protection, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing/piping, or process systems.
• Proficiency with engineering design software and current versions of AutoCAD and/or REVIT; Navisworks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Convert design concepts into layouts by interpreting basis of design and information from users, partners, field surveys, and code research.
• Produce accurate layouts and details that reflect codes and specification requirements.
