Job summary

AAON, Inc. and BASX in Redmond, OR are seeking a skilled pipefitter/installer to join our HVAC team. You will read drawings, install and secure piping, and wire or set hydraulic and refrigerant controls in commercial environments.

Work will involve 10–12 hour shifts, strict safety adherence, and collaboration within a fast-paced, quality-focused operation. AAON offers comprehensive benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Read, understand and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and reports.
• Operate hand and power tools to cut and bore holes in structures prior to pipe installation.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment per specifications.
• Attach pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets and/unistrut.
• Trouble shoot piping systems and install automatic controls for hydronic/refrigerant systems.

Qualifications

• Read, understand and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and reports
• Cut and bore holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks, walls and mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment, according to specifications, by brazing, gluing, soldering and threading joints.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets and/or Unistrut.
• Trouble problems in the piping systems we build.
• Install automatic controls used to regulate hydronic and refrigerant systems.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to work 10–12-hour shifts
• Competency in selecting pipe type, size and related materials, such as supports, hangers per job specifications.

Essential Physical Functions

• Lift up to 50lbs.
• Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
• Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
