Job summary

AAON, Inc. is seeking a skilled pipefitter to read blueprints, cut and assemble piping, and install controls in a dynamic work environment. You will work with hand and power tools to install piping systems and adhere to safety policies while contributing to ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and reports.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform pipe-related tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb and work 10–12 hour shifts.
• Interest in safety policies and procedures and compliance.
• Experience with piping systems and basic installation techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and reports.
• Cut and bore holes in structures prior to pipe installation using hand and power tools.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment according to specifications by brazing, gluing, soldering and threading joints.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets and Unistrut.
• Trouble shoot problems in piping systems and install automatic controls for hydronic and refrigerant systems.

Qualifications

• Read, understand and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and reports
• Cut and bore holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks, walls and mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment, according to specifications, by brazing, gluing, soldering and threading joints.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets and/or Unistrut.
• Trouble problems in the piping systems we build.
• Install automatic controls used to regulate hydronic and refrigerant systems.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

• Ability to work 10-12-hour shifts
• Competency in selecting pipe type, size and related materials, such as supports, hangers per job specifications.
