Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a Pipefitter Foreman to lead new mechanical projects with a focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The role includes travel to multiple project sites and training facilities, leveraging iPad and mobile tools for efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical leadership, a journeyman/master license preferred, and proficiency with IMC/IPC/IBC codes and modern construction software. Relocation/training opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

  • Five+ years of field supervision on multimillion-dollar projects.
  • Journeyman or Master Mechanical/Plumbing license preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IMC/IPC/IBC and local codes.
  • Experience with hydronic piping, chiller and boiler systems.
  • Familiar with construction tech tools: Bluebeam, ProCore, BIM 360.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee scope with project superintendent, manage materials and manpower.
  • Enforce and promote high quality and safety standards.
  • Use company iPad/phone to deliver timely results and exceed client expectations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate crew on designated scope.

About the Position

Are you ready to make an impact? As Power Design expands into mechanical work, we are looking for a Pipefitter Foreman to play a critical leadership role in the success of our new projects. This means we’ll need someone to ensure all projects maintain a high level of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. To top it off, you’ll not only have access to innovative technologies in the field - including fully-equipped iPads - but you’ll also travel to our 16,000-square-foot training facility for customized training courses at our headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Position Responsibilities
  • Work closely with project Superintendent and other trades, oversee the assigned scope, including the management of material and manpower
  • Accountable for enforcing and promoting high quality and safety standards
  • Utilize technology such as company-provided iPad and smartphone to ensure the job gets done on time and exceeds customer expectations
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate employees working on designated scope
Here’s What We’re Looking For
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Experience with Hydronic piping systems, Chiller, Boiler, Water Source Heat Pump refrigeration systems.
  • Progressive Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing leaders who love using technology and want a clear career path
  • Skilled field supervisor with at least five years of experience managing a scope and running multimillion-dollar projects
  • Active journeyman or master Mechanical or Plumbing license preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of the IMC, IPC, and IBC Standards; local codes; and construction safety requirements
  • Knowledge in Managing Plumbing Systems and / or HVAC Air distribution systems a plus.
  • Familiarity with project management and construction technology applications such as Bluebeam, ProCore, BIM 360, CrewConnect, FieldWire, and/or Open Space preferred
  • Flexibility to travel to other Power Design project sites as needed within the state of Florida preferred
