Job summary

Moore's Electrical & Mechanical is seeking a Piping Foreman to lead quality piping installations on commercial construction projects across Virginia and surrounding areas. You will interpret drawings, prepare BOMs, and supervise fabrication and installation of piping systems, including boilers and pumps, while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a valid driver’s license; projects span K-12, university, and healthcare facilities

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret coordinated construction drawings for all trades.
• Ability to complete Bill of Materials based on the drawings and blueprints.
• Fabrication and installation of pipe including carbon steel, copper, etc.
• Installation of piping equipment including boilers, chillers, pumps, etc.
• Ability to lead and train field staff.
• Exceptional customer relational skills; strong communication written and oral.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings for all trades.
• Prepare Bills of Materials from drawings and blueprints.
• Fabricate and install pipes (carbon steel, copper, etc.).

The Role

The Piping Foreman is responsible for ensuring a quality install for our customers and doing so by always promoting safety. You will serve as an essential part of successful mechanical piping system installs on our commercial construction projects as well as providing leadership and support on our sites. Job sites will vary amongst commercial projects throughout the area. Projects will mainly consist of K-12, University, and Healthcare buildings.

What You'll Do

You Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate equipment as needed on site
• Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office, Internet, Email
• Understanding usage of technology - iPad, iPhone, applications, etc.
• Knowledge of steam systems
• Journeyman or Master Card preferred
