Job summary

Lexicon is seeking a Piping Engineer to design and deliver piping layouts, isometrics, and material specifications for large-scale industrial projects in metals and mining. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, reliable piping systems and compliance with applicable codes.

The role requires 7+ years of piping experience, proficiency with PDMS/SP3D/CAESAR II, and strong teamwork and communication skills to support procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering and 7+ years in piping.
  • Experience with EPC projects in metals/mining/heavy industry.
  • Proficiency in piping design codes and stress analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop piping layouts, isometrics, and material specs.
  • Perform stress analysis and code compliance checks.
  • Prepare MTOs and data sheets.
  • Review vendor documents and assist procurement.
  • Supervise piping installation, hydrotesting, and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with process, mechanical, and structural teams.
  • Ensure strict HSE and quality adherence.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Piping Engineer with EPC experience in the metals and minerals industry to support piping design, layout, and construction for large-scale industrial projects. The role will involve close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient piping systems.

Piping Engineer Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop piping layouts, isometric drawings, and material specifications.
  • Perform stress analysis and flexibility checks in line with ASME/ANSI/ISO codes.
  • Prepare MTOs, data sheets, and technical requisitions.
  • Review vendor documents and provide support during procurement.
  • Supervise piping installation, hydrotesting, and commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with process, mechanical, and structural teams to ensure fit-for-purpose piping solutions.
  • Enforce strict compliance with HSE and quality requirements.
Piping Engineer Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering.
  • 7+ years’ experience in piping engineering, including EPC projects in metals/mining/heavy industry.
  • Proficiency in PDMS, SP3D, CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards.
  • Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Piping Engineer Physical Demands
  • Some overtime is required to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally.
