Job summary

LDIS LLC, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking a designer to generate 3D piping and equipment models and draft P&IDs under supervision. The role includes producing isometrics, piping plans, plot plans, and MTOs, with review before submission. On-site work five days a week is required, with potential hybrid options.

Minimum 0–3 years in design and drafting, with oil & gas experience preferred and proficiency in AutoCAD 3D and CADWorx. Strong Excel/database skills are a plus for project support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with post-secondary training preferred.
• 0–3 years’ experience in design, drafting and modeling.
• Oil and gas experience including refineries and gas processing preferred.
• Proficient with current engineering design and drafting software.
• Experience with AutoCAD 3D design; CADWorx a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Generates 3D piping and equipment models under direct supervision.
• Drafts P&IDs from a set of redlines using company/client drafting guidelines.
• With minimal supervision generates project deliverables (isometrics, piping plans, plot plans, MTO's) and reviews prior to submitting for checking.

This position will be required to be on-site five days a week.

Per our company policy, this offer is also contingent on passing a background and drug and alcohol test before starting at our company.

Qualifications:

Required: High school diploma and post-secondary training preferred.

Minimum 0-3 years’ experience in design, drafting and modeling.

O il and Gas experience including refineries and gas processing preferred.

Proficient in current engineering design and drafting software packages.

Operational knowledge of spreadsheet and database programs. AutoCAD 3D design, CADWorx a plus.

Target Salary Range:

$30.00 to $35.00/hr Please note that Tetra Tech considers numerous factors in determining pay, including but not limited to education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business

Physical Requirements:

Constantly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms.

Constantly use hands to keyboard or type, handle materials, or manipulate objects.

Light work that includes lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds and, occasionally, up to 50 pounds.

Frequently moving about to accomplish tasks.

Specific vision abilities required by this classification include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing abilities required by this classification includes those which permit the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively in person and by telephone.

Requires composure and ability to prioritize and manage several urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a prominent level of competence and accuracy.

Environmental factors mostly consist of work being conducted in an indoor office environment, but are not limited to extreme temperatures (e.g., cold, heat), fumes, variable weather conditions, outdoor work, and noise due to some travel & work on worksites.
