Kiewit OGC Engineering is seeking an Entry Level Piping Designer. We are looking for ideal candidates to grow the Kiewit team by helping establish, maintain, and improve company standards and tools while also utilizing these standards and tools to contribute to project success. Candidates will be familiar with current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software with an understanding of design documentation creation and layouts. Candidates shall be capable of exhibiting flexibility in work assignments while maintaining a growth mindset and continuing to develop in their technical and professional career.

• Performs non-routine assignments of limited scope on time and on budget.
• Expand knowledge through training and work experience.
• Learn codes and standards to complete assignments.
• Utilize codes and standards to complete assignments.
• Perform non-routine assignments of limited scope.
• Perform tasks according to company procedures, industry codes, and regulations while learning. Seeks out help from others but tries to apply information received to become a functional team member.
• Proactive about learning new information and skills.
• Basic understanding of piping layouts and field drawings.
• Associate degree, Design Technical degree, or High School diploma + 2 years’ experience as a minimum.
• 0-2 years minimum relevant experience.
• Adjusts to varying demands of work and performs well.
• Communicates effectively orally and in writing. Presents ideas clearly and in a professional manner.
• Willing and able to complete an On-Site/Field rotation in the first 3 years of employment.
• Develops cooperative working relationships and open communication within and across groups, to work towards solutions that benefit all involved parties. Seeks expertise, advice, and perspectives from a variety of sources.
• Consults with senior team members to receive direction for internal customers.
• Basic AutoCAD skills and can pick up marks.
• Able to manage responsibilities and meet deadlines under supervision.
