Job summary

AllSTEM Connections is seeking a Senior Piping Designer for a remote position, driving piping design on industrial and pharmaceutical facilities. You will ensure schedule adherence and technical quality of assigned tasks, while coordinating with multi-office teams.

You will review vendor drawings, perform 2D/3D piping design using Hexagon Smartplant S3D and Autodesk Plant 3D, and mentor colleagues to elevate project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (AA) in CAD or similar technical field.
• At least 15 years of piping design experience.
• Advanced knowledge of 2D/3D piping design in Hexagon Smartplant S3D and Autodesk Plant 3D.
• Open to candidates anywhere in the US; Cincinnati local preferred.

Job description

We're looking for a Senior Piping Designer in a remote position who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial and pharmaceutical facilities. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, earned value (progress measurement), leading projects with multi-office execution and schedule for assigned tasks, you’ll effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will review vendor drawings, execute piping engineering design, and develop design estimates. You’ll also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise to mentor other professionals, helping your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Associate’s degree (AA) in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical degree
• At least 15 years of piping design experience
• Advanced working knowledge of piping design in 2D/3D modeling software such as Hexagon Smartplant S3D, Autodesk Plant 3D
• Would be ideal if candidates are local to the Cincinnati office, but open to candidates anywhere in the US.
