Hargrove in Port Arthur, TX is seeking a Piping Designer to provide on-site piping design support for capital projects, maintenance, and operations, developing design packages, piping layouts, and construction deliverables in line with site standards.
You will create and revise 2D/3D CADWorx models, perform field surveys, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver construction-ready drawings; requires 4+ years in mechanical/piping drafting, associate degree, and CADWorx proficiency.
Job Scope: Provide on-site piping design support for Capital Projects, Maintenance, and Operations by developing engineering design packages, piping layouts, and construction deliverables in accordance with site engineering standards and project requirements.
Responsibilities include creating and maintaining 2D and 3D piping designs using CADWorx, maintaining piping specifications within the CADWorx application, performing field investigations, participating in site walkdowns, and utilizing laser scan data to develop accurate as-built models and engineering deliverables. The Piping Designer works closely with project engineers, operations, maintenance, and construction personnel to develop design solutions, support project scope development, and prepare construction-ready drawing packages.
Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.
Certification: Certification is not required at this level.
Experience: This position requires 4+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
