Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a Piping Designer to support Capital Projects, Maintenance, and Operations on site in Texas. You will develop 2D/3D piping designs, revise isometrics and P&IDs, and build accurate CADWorx models from field data and laser scans.
You will collaborate with project engineers, operations, and construction to deliver construction-ready drawings. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in mechanical/piping drafting, an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD,
Job Scope: Provide on-site piping design support for Capital Projects, Maintenance, and Operations by developing engineering design packages, piping layouts, and construction deliverables in accordance with site engineering standards and project requirements.
Responsibilities include creating and maintaining 2D and 3D piping designs using CADWorx, maintaining piping specifications within the CADWorx application, performing field investigations, participating in site walkdowns, and utilizing laser scan data to develop accurate as-built models and engineering deliverables. The Piping Designer works closely with project engineers, operations, maintenance, and construction personnel to develop design solutions, support project scope development, and prepare construction-ready drawing packages.
Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.
Certification: Certification is not required at this level.
Experience: This position requires 4+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
