Responsibilities

• Ensure all necessary drafting efforts completed to standards for 2D drawings.
• Update and maintain Piping tracking tools.
• Read and interpret P&IDs.
• Assist with field work to gather information for drawings.
• Generate various CAD drawings to support Designs.
• Design piping plant modeling using applicable standards.
• Develop 3D models in an integrated CAD environment.
• Create General Arrangement drawings from the 3D model.
• Generate piping isometric drawings from the 3D model.

Education

High school diploma

Job description

Your Role at BSI

The Piping Designer is responsible for the AutoCAD Drafting, Equipment modeling and basic pipe modeling. They are growing in their skills while always striving to provide quality designs to our clients.

Responsibilities And Scope

• Perform or ensure all necessary drafting efforts completed to standards to prepare 2D drawings and deliverables.
• Update, support and maintain Piping tracking tools: Line list, manual valve, specialty item and tie point lists.
• Has the ability to read P&ID’s and interpret the necessary data.
• May assist with field work at client sites to gather information needed for drawing creation or modification.
• Generate CAD drawings (orthographic, plans & sections, and isometrics) to support other Designers.
• Perform the design of piping plant modelling using applicable standards, project technical specifications and project procedures.
• Development of 3D models in an integrated CAD environment.
• General Arrangement drawings of piping and plant layouts from the 3D model as required by the project.
• Generate piping isometric drawings from the 3D model as required by the project.
