Job summary

A full-service Engineering and Construction firm located in West Monroe, Louisiana is seeking an experienced designer for intermediate-level assignments requiring a strong understanding of design concepts. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or a two-year degree in drafting/design technology and have 5 to 7 years of related experience. Responsibilities include establishing design criteria, preparing detailed drawings, reviewing manufacturer's prints, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate project execution. Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of design concepts with minimal engineering input.
• 7+ years of related experience or equivalent working knowledge.
• Ability to create detail and layout drawings.

Responsibilities

• Establish design criteria for assigned projects.
• Prepare drawings and sketches of complex designs.
• Review and ensure conformance of design prints with specifications.
• Support field assignments and lead walkdowns.
• Interface with other departments and project engineers.

Skills
