Job summary

Capstone Mechanical is seeking a motivated helper to learn piping installation and maintenance under close supervision. You will assist with attaching pipes, measuring, cutting, and keeping work areas clean while delivering quality workmanship.

The role emphasizes safety, ability to follow instructions, and teamwork in a high-noise, outdoor/industrial environment; on-site training with experienced staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate with internal team and customers.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Learns trade from lead man and takes initiative in performing tasks.
• Serves and supports lead man in completing tasks at hand.
• Assists with attaching pipes to walls, structures and fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Measures and marks pipes for cutting, threading and welding as directed.
• Modsifies, cleans, and maintains pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications using hand and power tools under close supervision.
• Removes and replaces worn components as directed.
• Keeps worksite clear and clean from debris and trash.
• Helps to keep shop and vehicles clean.
• Assists with paperwork involving basic math skills.
