Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Cadiz facility seeks a Pipeline Integrity Technician to support launching and receiving pipeline pigging, line locating, and monitoring of operations. Responsibilities include safety analysis, site reviews, equipment maintenance, and data accuracy across the maintenance system.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and ability to pass a drug test and background check. Overtime and night shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Works with pipeline safety to conduct pre-pigging Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and hazard assessment.
• Conducts site review to identify risk controls (PPE, emergency response, barricades, notices, hydrocarbon detectors).
• Performs pipeline pigging per established procedures.
• Operates pig launcher to send pig into pipeline and retrieves pig from receiver.
• Performs routine maintenance on pigging equipment.
• Ensures pipeline maintenance system data is accurate and current.
• Monitors fugitive emissions during pigging operations.
