Job summary

Delek US Holdings is seeking an Operator to manage the flow of oil, natural gas, and other materials through pipelines. You will work closely with Asset Maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient operations at Delek facilities.

Required: high school diploma or GED, 1+ year as an Equipment Operator (preferred), and DOT/OQ credentials or ability to obtain CDL. This role offers field-heavy work with on-site duties and occasional travel.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent combo of education/experience may be considered.
  • 1+ year experience as Equipment Operator preferred; 2+ years in Pipeline maintenance/assessment required.
  • DOT Operator Qualifications, valid driver’s license, and CDL (or ability to obtain CDL) required.

  • Monitor the status of equipment and machinery used to transport materials.
  • Inspect and repair the product pipeline and monitor the flow of products.
  • Adjust machinery speed to ensure safe operation and coordinate with other operators.

JOB SUMMARY

The Operator will report directly to the Manager of Asset Maintenance; working closely with crew members of the Asset Maintenance Team. Responsible for managing the flow of oil, natural gas, and other fossil fuel materials that circulate through pipelines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • One (1) or more years Experience as a Equipment Operator (Preferred)
  • One (1) or more years Experience of Pipeline Excavation (Preferred)
  • Two (2) or more years Experience in Pipeline maintenance/assessment activities (Required)
  • Required Certifications/Licensures: (Meet and pass DOT Operator Qualifications, Valid driver’s license, Valid CDL or ability to obtain CDL)

Hours of Work/Travel: 40 hours with overtime as needed, Must be able to travel, possibly overnight to all DKL assets, Must be able to drive for extended period of time, distance, Utilize hand tools in a safe manner, Ability to be on your feet for several hours a day, Must be available for call out when needed, Work Space: 90% Field, 10% Office, Must be able to work in abnormal weather conditions, Must pass medical evaluation for Emergency Response, Enrolled in respiratory program

  • Monitors the status of equipment and machinery used to transport other materials
  • Inspects and repairs the product pipeline
  • Monitors the flow of products being transported
  • Adjusts the speed of machinery to ensure safe operation
  • Communicates and coordinates activities with other operators during transportation operations
  • Inspects and maintains equipment and machinery as needed
  • Tests composite crude samples throughout the system
  • Must follow all pertinent regulations and procedures as required by federal, state, or company entities
  • Performs safe operation of Heavy Equipment
  • Possesses knowledge in excavation safety
  • Performs needed tasks within the company’s Spill Response Team
  • Passes required OQ (Operator Qualification) testing
  • Performs other duties as assigned

This job role requires medical and other fitness for duty assessments that ensure the employee can meet the physical and technical demands of this job role while working around process equipment that handles hazardous substances associated with the Oil & Gas industry. These requirements may include:

  • Performing duties in an office setting, at outdoor facilities, and in weather conditions appropriate to the assigned role and location
  • Driving a company vehicle and/or other motorized equipment
  • Climbing and descending stairs and ladders, working at heights, and performing tasks in confined spaces (e.g., kneeling, crawling, squatting, etc.) up to 33% of working time
  • Lifting and transporting materials and/or equipment up to 50 pounds and operating company-issued hand and power tools up to 33% of working time
  • Wearing required company-provided personal protective equipment for routine and emergency operations
  • Successfully completing all required training and Department of Transportation Operator Qualification evaluations
  • Adhering to all safety and environmental policies and standards
