Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a Pipeline/Terminal Operator to safely run refinery product delivery operations in California. This 12-hour shift role requires attention to safety, adherence to SOPs, and strong teamwork on a busy loading rack.

You will monitor pumps, batches, logs, and quality, complete tickets, and communicate equipment issues to supervision. A high school diploma and basic office skills are required; OQ training may be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training or college a plus.
• Basic office and/or administrative experience including phones, paperwork and typing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word; PowerPoint/Access a plus.
• Must pass and maintain Operator Qualification requirements.
• Advancement levels from Entry to Level 5 based on time and performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate pipeline and pump facilities per direction and SOPs.
• Oversee activities on assigned shift.
• Monitor product quality hourly using appropriate equipment.
• Prepare and check meter tickets and bill of lading documents.
• Communicate equipment issues promptly to management.
• Maintain logs and stream sheets accurately and timely.
• Work with field operations, scheduling and engineering as liaison.
• Perform general facility upkeep and housekeeping duties.
