Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service a wide area around Sioux Falls, SD. Responsibilities include routine and unscheduled maintenance of equipment, safety checks, and communication with excavators and landowners.

A valid driver’s license and willingness to respond after hours are required. Responsibilities also include coordinating emergency response activities, performing inspections, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
• Must be able to respond to callouts and emergencies after hours including weekends and holidays.
• Participate in emergency response activities including spill drills and boom deployment drills.
• Must be able and willing to work hours outside normal hours as scheduled and required by management.

Responsibilities

• Handle One-Calls including communications with excavators and landowners
• Act as liaison with emergency responders and local damage prevention groups
• Pipeline right of way maintenance including marker replacement and ROW maintenance
• Maintenance of pump stations, motors, valves and actuators
• Regulatory compliance checks
• Relieve other Maintenance Techs in the area when they are on leave
• Perform routine facility inspections including housekeeping
