Take Your Delivery Management Career to the Next Level. Kleinfelder is looking for a dynamic Pipeline Infrastructure Engineering Program Manager to join our Operations Team. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of pipeline infrastructure projects, leading cross-functional teams, driving business development, and ensuring excellence in project delivery and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate has substantial experience in an engineering consultancy, delivering consulting engineering services on projects ranging from small to large pipeline infrastructure initiatives. This role combines program execution with strategic client engagement, identifying opportunities, and developing winning strategies across service lines and markets.
This position is remote / hybrid; however, selected candidate must be in close proximity to one of the following office locations: Atlanta, GA; Raleigh, NC; Baltimore, MD; Hamilton, NJ; Birmingham, AL; or Tampa, FL.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans for key utility and energy clients.
- Foster long-term relationships and identify cross-selling opportunities across service lines.
- Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and client presentations.
- Mentor staff and promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and safety.
- Lead and/or support cross-functional teams to execute pipeline and facility projects.
- Ensure schedule, budget, and quality adherence across all phases of project execution.
- Manage projects for schedule adherence, identifying risks and requirements to achieve in-service dates.
- Navigate projects through client gate approval processes, including presentations to senior/executive management as required.
- Manage projects for financial adherence, maintaining accurate cost forecasts for an estimate-at-completion.
- Provide regular status updates and routine reporting to clients.
- Lead project meetings with cost, schedule, environmental, engineering, and construction resources to facilitate execution.
- Incorporate synergies across projects to prevent duplication or inefficiencies.
- Review change requests and reconcile with the portfolio of work.
- Create analyses and reports to assist the client in tracking, coordination, and execution of projects.
- Solicit client feedback and prepare action plans to enhance execution by program teams.
- Facilitate internal and external communication on sales, revenue, and growth targets.
- Develop engagement plans for visits with external organizations representing technical staff and client organizations.
- Monitor operational needs including contracts, licensure, and skill gaps; develop executable remediation plans.
- Author and deliver training sessions and build a library of tools related to client needs; involve colleagues in the program.
- Promote a Health and Safety culture through leadership and modeled behavior.
- Serve as a Project Manager and/or Engineer of Record on key projects and pursuits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
- 10+ years of direct pipeline design experience.
- 7+ years of experience in project management for an engineering consulting firm.
- Excellent facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence, lead, and manage thoughtfully and positively.
- Strong planning and analytical skills.
- Superb oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to present complex information to all levels.
- Proven success in project management including proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, team leadership, budgeting, schedule management, and client coordination.
- Proven ability to develop business and establish client relationships.
- Travel 15-25% depending on project assignment and client needs.

The salary range for this position is $123,781 - $213,013, in accordance with applicable law.
