Job summary

Colonial Pipeline Company is seeking Field Operators (Associate, I, II) to join their Jackson, LA team. These roles support safe and efficient transportation of refined petroleum products and require flexibility with rotating shifts.

You will participate in NexOp training, work near heavy equipment, and contribute to safety and reliability across operations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and eager to develop technical skills in pipeline operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Live within a 60-minute commute from the assigned work location.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to work 8- and 12-hour rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to complete Colonial’s NexOp Program and operator qualifications.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, reach, pull, push, bend, lift up to 25 lbs., and traverse uneven terrain.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions near refined petroleum products and heavy equipment.
• Ability to distinguish colors and detect petroleum products by smell.
• Subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Associate and/or Technical degree in a related field
• 1-4+ years of experience in pipeline operations
• HAZWOPER, forklift, or fire training
• Experience with HMI systems and batch scheduling
