Job summary

Strike, a leading oil and gas infrastructure company, seeks a Pipeline Estimating Manager to lead detailed cost estimates for pipelines, facilities, and integrity projects across West Texas. You will collaborate with management, engineering, procurement, and field operations to deliver accurate models and competitive bids.

You will use H&D, MS Project, Primavera, and Onscreen Takeoff to build robust cost estimates and maintain pricing data, while supporting seamless handovers to operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects in oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, welding, compressors, and tie-ins.
• Experience with RFQs, P&IDs, isometrics, and client specifications.
• Experience with unit rate and lump-sum estimating.
• Prior field experience in pipeline or facility construction is desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete pipeline estimates for oil and gas projects.
• Attend client pre-bid meetings, review RFQs and project scopes.
• Build cost models including direct labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and indirect costs.
• Collaborate with project management and field leadership to validate assumptions.
• Assist in bid strategy development to protect margins.
• Present cost breakdowns and justifications during reviews.
• Maintain cost history data and monitor material pricing for accuracy.
• Support project handover with clear estimate assumptions and resources.
