Job summary

Primoris Energy Services in Hubbard, Texas, is seeking an Estimator to accurately calculate costs for energy construction projects, including pipelines and facilities. You will support competitive bidding and project planning with detailed time, cost, material, and labor estimates.

The ideal candidate has a 3–5 year track record in construction estimating, a Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience), and proficiency with leading estimating software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably energy/oil & gas.
• Ability to read complex blueprints, specs, and project documents.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in estimating software (HCSS HeavyBid, B2W) and MS Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for energy construction projects (pipelines, facilities, infrastructure).
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other docs to estimate time, cost, materials, and labor.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to understand project scope.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers; negotiate terms.
• Identify and assess risks and opportunities related to project costs.
• Maintain cost databases and historical project data for accuracy.
• Participate in proposal development and client presentations as needed.
• Communicate estimate details and assumptions with internal and external partners.
• Stay informed of industry trends, material costs, and construction methods.
• Utilize estimating software to improve accuracy and efficiency.
