Overview

We are currently seeking Level III Pipeline Designers with expertise in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly focused on pipeline systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in developing base drawings, alignment sheets, and preparing detailed drawings and documentation within the oil and gas industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, and experience working with an engineering consulting firm is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong knowledge of pipeline design standards and industry codes is expected.

This position is available to candidates located in the Central or Eastern Time Zones of the United States.


Responsibilities

  • Review vendor data for correctness and utilize information in design development.
  • Lead in drafting and updating comprehensive base drawings, alignment sheets, piping plans, and BOMs.
  • Create detailed and complex AutoCAD drawings and have an understanding of GIS.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Review and check designs for compliance with standards.
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines.
  • Train and mentor junior designers.
  • Communicate project progress to clients.
  • Manage medium-sized projects. Handle complex designs including HDD, RR crossing, Highway crossings
  • Ensure all designs adhere to safety regulations.
  • Interface with project engineers.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or Certificate in CAD, Drafting or Design from an accredited vocational school, college or university. Management may consider other education and work experience to be acceptable for appointment to this position.
  • 10+ years of experience using AutoCAD software for pipeline design projects
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations for the gas distribution industry

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
