Job Description: Gas Pipeline Construction Inspectors – Direct Hire Opportunities

In partnership with Doherty, we’re hiring multiple Gas Pipeline Construction Inspectors for direct hire opportunities. What You’ll Do:

As a Distribution/Utility Inspector, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of natural gas pipeline construction projects. Your role will include:

• Successfully completing paid Operator Qualification training modules and other required programs
• Prioritizing safety and building knowledge of federal, local, and company compliance requirements
• Conducting daily field inspections and documenting activities electronically (using a company-provided iPad for Daily Reports, Pictures, Schedules, Time, and Expenses)
• Verifying mapping accuracy, tracking materials, and overseeing as-built documentation
• Inspecting excavation, installation, and backfill/restoration activities
• Navigating to multiple job sites each day and working 40-60 hours per week, 5-6 days a week, with potential travel up to 50% locally

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Construction or construction inspection experience
• Excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and navigate challenging work environments (stooping, kneeling, crawling, confined spaces, uneven terrain, etc.)
• Experience with CFR49/192/195 or Certified Welding Inspectors (AWS CWI / or CPWI+V)
