Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Pipeline CCTV Tap Cutter Operator to join our fast-growing infrastructure team. The role focuses on operating CCTV tap-cutting equipment, recording inspections, and assisting with CIPP liner installations while maintaining safety and accuracy on projects.

The ideal candidate has experience as a Tap Cutter or TV Tech in the CIPP industry, a valid driver's license with the ability to pass a DOT physical, and preferably a CDL.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Tap Cutter or TV Tech in the CIPP industry required.
• Schwalm experience is very beneficial.
• Must have a valid drivers license in good standing and be able to pass a DOT physical to operate company vehicle; CDL strongly preferred.
• Must be accurate, detailed, reliable and able to follow orders with minimal supervision.
• Must be proactive and able to troubleshoot.
• Ability to complete reports, records and related administrative tasks.
• PACP/MACP/LACP certifications are a plus.

• Utilize remote cameras and CCTV equipment to videotape inside sewer lines for inspections.

• Must have a valid driver's license in good standing consistent with company standards and be able to pass a DOT physical to operate company vehicle when necessary. Strongly prefer CDL.
• Must be accurate, detailed, reliable, and able to follow orders on projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must have ability to be proactive and troubleshoot.
• Ability to complete applicable reports, records, and related administrative tasks.
• PACP/MACP/LACP certifications are a plus.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
• Ability to enter confined spaces.
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs.
• Able to work in various weather conditions.
• Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
