Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; 2 year technical degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in natural gas operations or related technical experience.
  • Acquiring of NACE CP1 Certification is required to reach Sr. Corrosion Control Technician destination.
  • Valid PA Driver’s license.
  • Appalachian Underground Short Course (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced) provided by the company and is required to progress in the role.

Responsibilities

  • Test, troubleshoot, remediate and maintain existing cathodic protection systems and equipment with limited supervision.
  • Inform and instruct C&M, engineering and contractors on how to cathodically protect new services and mains or added extensions.
  • Assist and instruct C&M and contractors in the installation of Corrosion Control systems.
  • Assist in pipeline integrity assessment activities.
  • Design cathodic protection systems for services and smaller coated main segments.
  • Inspect non-cathodically protected services or mains for potential future protection.
