Job summary

WSP USA Inc. is seeking a CAD Designer to support design work from our Houston, TX or Tampa, FL offices. The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and capable of developing engineering drawing sets in coordination with engineers and other designers.

The role involves preparing plans, profiles and details for pipelines, modeling 3D terrains, and ensuring design standards are met for tenders and construction. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years field-related work experience using AutoCAD, Land Development and Civil Design, and/or Civil 3D.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and pipeline/linear utility design knowledge.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop design packages for linear pipelines in Oil & Gas as directed by the project engineer.
• Prepare engineering plans, profiles, sections and details for design, tender and construction drawings.
• Model 3D surfaces representing terrain, waterways and other features for pipelines and facilities.
• Ensure compliance with design/drafting standards and quality control of drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers and other designers to meet client expectations.
