Job summary

Desert Worx Construction is seeking a dependable Laborer / Pipelayer to join our excavation crew. You will assist with excavation, underground utility installation, pipe laying, grading, bedding, backfilling, and site cleanup while supporting a crew in a safety-minded environment.

The ideal candidate works well outdoors in all weather conditions and around heavy equipment, with a valid driver\'s license and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Construction or excavation experience preferred, but training available.
• Experience as pipelayer or excavation labourer is a plus.
• Physically demanding work including lifting, digging, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and excavation areas.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to follow directions and work well with a crew.
• Valid driver\'s license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist with excavation and underground utility installation.
• Perform pipe laying, grading, bedding, and backfilling.
• Work around excavators, loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.
• Assist with setting pipe, fittings, manholes, and other underground utilities.
• Use hand tools and basic construction equipment safely.
• Measure, check grades, and assist the operator and foreman as directed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform general labor and other duties as assigned.
