Overview

Great Hills Constructors is seeking a Pipe Layer for the 183 North Mobility Project in Austin, TX.

The Pipe Layer will perform pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor (laying, joining, wrapping, sealing) on construction sites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects. May operate hand and/or power tools and assist with site preparation and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other types of pipe for water/gas mains, sanitary sewer, telephone/electrical conduits.
• Works with crew members and operates various hand and power tools including drills and hammers as directed.
• Performs physical tasks as instructed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of verifiable experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds or ladders.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to follow safety policies and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for extended periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
