Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Pipefitters to join our team for new commercial construction projects. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and local codes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, assemble, fabricate, and maintain pipe systems, including high-pressure systems, for commercial new construction projects.
  2. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
  3. Select the type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications.
  4. Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using various tools and equipment, including welding equipment (GTAW, SMAW), cutting torches, pipe threaders, and benders.
  5. Weld, braze, solder, cement, and thread joints to connect pipes and fittings.
  6. Install and secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers.
  7. Inspect, examine, and test installed systems for leaks and pressure to ensure proper functioning.
  8. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including plumbers, HVAC technicians, and other construction personnel, to ensure efficient project workflow.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  10. Complete all tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  11. Perform rigging as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Pipefitter in commercial construction.
  • Proven experience with new construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, materials, and systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, including welding equipment, safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Welding certifications (e.g., ASME).
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
  • Experience with specific piping systems (e.g., hydronic, steam, gas).
