Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Pipefitter/Welder to fabricate, install, maintain, assemble and repair piping systems for industrial production and processing facilities in the Corpus Christi area.

Job duties include laying out, assembling and maintaining pipe systems, repairing leaks, handling pipe installations, and supporting welding needs. The role requires 5 years of related experience and relevant welding credentials; safety and upkeep are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years related Pipefitter/Welder experience.
• Welding Certificate a plus.
• Journeyman Welding Card a plus.
• Trained on manlift, scissor lift, forklift a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related equipment per blueprints.
• Maintains and repairs pipe systems, supports, and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Repairs leaks in piping for steam, condensate, cooling and compressed air lines.
• Performs repairs and installations of threaded, slip-joint, glued and welded pipe systems.
• Installs and maintains support systems for piping installations (hangers, floor mounts).
• Cleans work area, tools, and equipment; adheres to safety procedures.
