Job description

Trillium Construction is now seeking experienced Industrial Pipefitters for a major shutdown project at a Woodgrain facility in Towanda, PA, starting October 1st through October 31st.

The primary scope will involve working with pre-assembled pipe sections that need to be accurately fitted and installed to a steam tree. This is not a high-fabrication or extremely complex fitting position, but candidates must have the experience and mechanical ability to properly square, align, fit, and prepare pipe assemblies for installation. Candidates will be working in a heavy industrial shutdown environment and may be required to assist with additional mechanical duties as directed by site supervision.

This is a full shutdown schedule of 7 days per week, 12 hours per day, with the day shift running 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. Pay is $38–$40/hour, depending on experience and qualifications, with $194/day per diem paid all 7 days of the week. Travel pay is available at $0.60 per mile, capped at $800 one way. Candidates must be able to commit to the entire shutdown from October 1st through October 31st and be available to work the full 7-day, 12-hour schedule without planned time off during the project.

• Candidates must be comfortable working at heights of up to 60 feet from lifts and scaffolding and must be capable of safely operating lift equipment.
• Candidates must be comfortable squaring up pipe top-to-bottom using a straight edge and using angle iron and clamps to properly hold and fit pipe assemblies before final installation/welding.
• Attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce clean, accurate fit-ups are essential.
• Candidates should be able to read and understand basic pipe drawings, layouts, and dimensions, use standard pipefitting hand tools, and work effectively alongside TIG pipe welders.
• Candidates must be Journeyman-level pipefitters with strong industrial experience and be proficient in the pipefitting trade.
• Candidates must provide their own pipefitting tools of the trade and wear standard PPE, including hard hat, clear safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, high-visibility vest, long pants, long sleeves, and harness.
• Candidates must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings and meet all site safety requirements.
