This is a union role within the local 261c.

Scope of Work:
  1. Fabricate, maintain, and install piping systems. Experience with steam and plumbing systems.
  2. Must be able to clean and maintain boilers.
  3. Must have ability to troubleshoot steam, air and water systems.
  4. Must be able to read and interpret drawings and schematics to install and troubleshoot piping systems.
  5. Knowledge of sprinkler and deluge systems desirable.
  6. Candidate must be flexible in accepting additional duties as assigned by supervision.
Responsibilities:
  1. Candidate must be able to organize work area and maintain neat and proper records.
  2. Candidate must be able to analyze data and make appropriate judgments and must be able to work effectively with Plant Management.
  3. High degree of mechanical aptitude and the ability to respond appropriately in high stress situations.
  4. Support management strategies and plans.
  5. Promote safety and health.
  6. Understand business/production needs and expectations.
  7. Perform to the highest level of quality.
  8. Communicate effectively.
Business Process Management:
  1. Reference, support, and utilize appropriate GOPs and UOPs.
  2. Provide improvement suggestions where needed.
  3. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business processes in scope of responsibility.
Quality:
  1. Improve quality by continuously improving products and services for our customers.
  2. Our customers are not only those to whom we sell products but also the end user of any product or service we provide within the company.
Education/Experience:
  1. Must be able to pass onsite Pipefitter skills test prior to interviewing.
  2. High school diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience, journeyman's preferred.
  3. Must be able to work all three shift schedules, seniority will dictate which shift.
  4. It is preferred the Candidates have pipe and welding certification and must provide documentation showing all applicable experience and training with appropriate references.
  5. Essential reading skills are required.
Pay:

The current pay rate for this position is $32.74, since this is a union position, this rate is non-negotiable.
