Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Pipefitter Lead, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN. The Pipefitter Lead will work as part of an integrated team responsible for supporting United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Open to internal candidates only. External candidates will not be considered. The selected candidate must be available to work any shift, with shift determined based on work priority at the time of reporting.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be a working group leader under general supervision, overseeing lower-grade craftsmen, and performing mechanical and manual work related to testing, operation, and maintenance of an engineering test facility. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing high-pressure and complex piping systems from blueprints, drawings, or sketches, and setting up and operating tools and equipment.

  • Participate in safety training specific to the function
Job Duties
  • Read and work from blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or sketches
  • Troubleshoot and repair high-pressure and complex piping systems
  • Set up and operate tools and equipment
  • Prepare test facility equipment and articles for testing
  • Install test articles and check installations
  • Troubleshoot equipment and installations during malfunctions
  • Operate plant equipment during tests and assist as needed
  • Remove test articles post-test
  • Install and maintain piping systems
  • Perform general pipefitting tasks
  • Maintain test facility equipment
  • Use various hand and powered tools, measuring, and testing equipment
  • Wear PPE as directed and per policy
  • Perform welding and other duties as required
  • Operate and work with a variety of tools skillfully
  • Work effectively with others
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six years of industrial pipefitting experience or eight years of progressive related experience
  • Ability to pass and maintain welding qualifications per ASME Section IX, including radiography evaluation
  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic and/or advanced rigging training
  • Active Secret clearance
