Qualifications

• Three years of pipefitting experience or completion of a pipefitter apprenticeship.
• High school diploma or equivalent with vocational training.
• Must meet state license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Configure pipe systems blueprint and plan piping systems layouts.
• Ensure all steam, water, chemicals, or other liquids are turned off before work on the piping system.
• Precisely cut, bend, and weld metals such as carbon and stainless steel.
• Clean debris and hazardous materials from pipes as needed.
• Install piping or tubing segments securely with welding or other equipment.
• Thread, weld, and solder piping together.
