Position Summary
Plan, lay-out, install, test and repair all types of piping systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities And Duties
- Maintain working knowledge of various types of pipe and pipe systems, including butt welded, socket welded, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued and fused joints
- Read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently
- Align, bolt, and clamp components of fabricated metal products for welding
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment through welding and threading joints
- Position and secure materials and workpieces during installation; install all other items according to plans and specifications
- Distinguish different thicknesses and types of metal materials
- Handle and apply rigging equipment manually and safely
- Operate tools such as beveling machines, cut-off grinders, pipe threaders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, and Saw-Zall
- Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports
- Hydro test piping systems
- Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed for tasks
- Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance, identify deficiencies, and take corrective actions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in the field preferred
- Strong skills and knowledge relevant to the position
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions; effective communication with management
- Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand, power, and measurement tools
Requirements
- Constant movement around construction/industrial sites; ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Work in outdoor environments with changing weather conditions
- Work irregular hours, including weekends, overtime, and holidays
- Use ladders, scaffolds, and other equipment to access work areas, sometimes exceeding 200 feet
- Work in confined, cluttered, and uneven spaces; in noisy and dusty environments
- Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Possess required tools; may need a US driver’s license
- Observe safety and project rules; perform other duties as assigned
- Pass drug, alcohol tests, and medical fitness assessments
