Position Summary
Plan, lay-out, install, test, and repair all types of piping systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain working knowledge of various types of pipe and pipe systems, including butt welded, socket welded, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued, and fused joints.
- Read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate, and install piping efficiently.
- Align, bolt, and clamp components of fabricated metal products for welding.
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment by welding and threading joints.
- Position and secure materials during installation; install other items per plans and specifications.
- Distinguish different thicknesses and types of metal materials.
- Handle rigging equipment manually and securely.
- Operate tools such as beveling machines, grinders, pipe threaders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, and Saw-Zall.
- Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
- Hydro test piping systems.
- Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time, costs, resources, or materials needed for work activities.
- Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge and skills related to the position.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions; effective communication with management.
- Proficient in the safe use of electrical, hand, power, and measurement tools.
Requirements
- Ability to move about construction/industrial sites and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, kneeling, and crawling.
- Work in outdoor environments with changing weather conditions.
- Work irregular hours, including weekends, overtime, and holidays.
- Use ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, and scaffolds, possibly exceeding 200 feet.
- Work in confined, cluttered, and uneven spaces.
- Complete tasks in noisy and dusty environments.
- Move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Possess required tools and licenses.
- Observe safety and project rules; perform other duties as required.
- Pass pre-access drug, alcohol testing, and medical fitness assessments.
