Essential Duties
  1. Cuts, grooves, grinds, assembles, installs valves, threads pipes, performs layout, sets up equipment, positions, aligns, fits, and tack-welds as required. Operates overhead crane and forklift as needed.
  2. Studies and interprets shop drawings to determine necessary work. Uses materials efficiently to minimize waste and rework.
  3. Maintains a clean and orderly work area, follows safety regulations, supports 6S implementation, and reports defective materials or conditions.
  4. Communicates issues affecting production, schedule, and costs to the foreman. Reports equipment malfunctions and performs operator maintenance. Records time accurately on work orders.
  5. Uses all required PPE and safety equipment properly.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification to operate lifts
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Mechanical skills: ability to use various tools and read blueprints
  • Ability to operate Piping SWI Oxy/Act Torch, Grooving, Threading, Cutting, Tack Welding, and Fitting
  • Troubleshooting skills: diagnose and fix problems
