Job summary

WorleyParsons in the United States is seeking a Pipefitter Helper for night shifts to support a production crew. You will read blueprints, lay out and fit fabricated parts, and help prepare surfaces and fixtures to ensure alignment.

This role requires hands-on construction experience and the ability to work safely in an industrial environment; you will follow directions from journeymen and contribute to timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of structural metal products.
• Set up face block, jigs, and fixtures.
• Locate and mark centerlines and reference points onto floor or face block and transpose them to work piece using tape, chains, plumb bob, and squares.
• Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps of bolt parts in positions for welding or riveting.

Position Summary

Responsible for executing helper duties to assist assigned crew.

Primary Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work: location, quantities, and sizes of materials required
• Lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of structural metal products
• Set up face block, jigs, and fixtures
• Locate and mark centerlines and reference points onto floor or face block and transpose them to work piece, using tape, chains, plumb bob, and squares
• Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps of bolt parts in positions for welding or riveting
• Additional responsibilities not listed may be required
