Turner Industries is seeking Pipefitter/Boilermakers to join our Tank crew located in Old Ocean, TX. Local candidates are ideal, with valid TWIC and ability to work in fresh air. Overtime (5-10's) is available as needed; NCCER certification is preferred and a craft test may be required.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience in the specified skill (depending on mechanic level).
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test.
• Turner Industries indoctrination.
• OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87).
• Job site orientation.
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, disassembles, erects and repairs boilers, tanks, vats, exchangers and heaters according to blueprint specifications.
• Locates and marks reference points for foundations; attaches rigging or signals crane operator to lift parts to the correct position.
• Aligns structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame, tanks or vats; bolts structures together.
• Installs trays, manholes, valves, gauges and feedwater connections to complete water tube boiler assemblies.
• Assists in testing the completed vessels.
