Job summary

Schultz Construction is seeking motivated individuals to start a Pipefitter Apprenticeship on site in New York. No prior pipefitting experience is required, and the program combines hands-on training with classroom instruction to prepare you for a New York State-certified Journeyworker Pipefitter role.

You will learn to install, maintain, and repair piping systems, read plans, and develop welding and joining skills while contributing to diverse commercial and industrial projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability and willingness to travel to various project locations.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding construction environment.
• Willingness to work hard and learn new skills.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability.
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment substance screening, as required by applicable state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair piping systems, valves, and related equipment.

Schultz Construction is looking for motivated individuals who want to build a long-term career in the skilled trades to join our team as Pipefitter Apprentices.

Our paid apprenticeship program combines hands‑on, on‑the‑job training with classroom instruction, giving you the skills and experience to become a New York State-certified Journeyworker Pipefitter.

No previous pipefitting experience is required. If you're dependable, willing to work hard, and ready to learn a skilled trade, we'll help you build the skills for a successful career.

WHAT YOU'LL DO & LEARN

As a Pipefitter Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced Pipefitters and learn how to:

• Install, maintain, and repair piping systems, valves, and related equipment.
• Learn welding, pipe joining, and other specialized pipefitting skills.
• Read plans, use tools and equipment, and develop mechanical skills.

Applicants must be willing and able to travel to various project locations as needed.
