Job summary

Ameri-Force, Inc. in Mobile, AL seeks a Pipefitter A Class. Pay is $40.00 per hour. You will read drawings, install and align piping on vessels, and test for leaks, maintaining a clean, safe work area. A lifetime background check and flexibility for day or night shifts are required.

Requires 3-5 years of marine/industrial experience, ability to measure with metric units, and possession of your own set of tools. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications.
  • Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools.
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools.
  • Test system for leaks using testing equipment.
  • Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping.
  • Install pipe systems on board vessels safely and productively.

Job Title: Pipefitter A Class

Pay: $40.00


EXPERIENCE


  • 3 - 5 years of marine or industrial experience

  • Pass a pipefitters tests, written and practical.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and measure using the metric system.


Employment Requirements


  • Must successfully pass a lifetime background check.

  • Must be available towork dayor night shift as needed.

  • Must successfully complete all required pre-employment and onboarding requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications.

  • Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines

  • Ability to Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools

  • Test system for leaks using testing equipment

  • Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system

  • Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system using hand and power tools

  • Ability to install pipe systems on board vessels in a safe and productive manner.

  • Build pride of workmanship and quality through on job training.

  • Contribute towards innovation / productivity improvements.

  • Assist in the control of waste elimination, e.g. materials, consumables etc.

  • Must have full set of personal tools needed for tasks assigned

  • Always be ready to start shift on time

  • Do not leave job early or return late from break times

  • Ensure work area is left clean, all equipment and tools are stowed away safely and protected against damage
