Position: Pipefitter A

This role involves laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for various industrial systems. Additional duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities include:

1. Cutting, threading, and hammering pipe to specifications using appropriate tools.
2. Attaching pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, or welding equipment.
3. Measuring and marking pipes for cutting and threading.
4. Planning pipe system layouts and installations according to specifications.
5. Selecting appropriate pipe sizes, types, supports, and related materials.
6. Modifying, cleaning, and maintaining pipe systems and related equipment.
7. Installing automatic controls for pipe systems.
8. Turning valves to control the flow of gases or liquids.
9. Replacing worn components and inspecting work sites for safety.
10. Operating pumps to remove water from flooded areas.
11. Coating nonferrous piping materials to prevent erosion.
12. Performing other assigned responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, handle, reach, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Qualifications:

• No minimum education required.
• At least 5+ years of Journeyman level experience.
• Valid TWIC card and Driver's License required; NCCER certification preferred but not mandatory.
