Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. in Port Saint Joe, Florida, seeks a skilled Pipefitter to assemble, install, and test piping systems according to specifications. The role requires compliance with safety standards in a heavy industrial shipyard environment.
Successful candidates will have extensive pipefitting experience, a solid understanding of welding techniques, and the ability to work in physically demanding conditions.

Assemble, install, and test piping for various systems in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work with other crafts as instructed by supervision.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalence plus three to five years of pipefitting/plumbing experience desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Regularly required to communicate. Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be physically and medically qualified to wear all required personal protective equipment under OSHA standards. Must be able to work above ground at heights of a minimum of 50 feet aloft and/or working from scaffolding or man‑lifts while working with machinery, in confined spaces, and withstand extreme heat and cold in an outside climate or confined space.
The work environment is a heavy industrial shipyard characterized by risk of electrical shock, moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, continuous loud noise, and other hazards. Rigorous compliance with safety procedures, policies, and personal safety equipment requirements is mandatory.
