Mechanical Specialties Contractors is a leader in fabricating and installing high purity and process piping systems, serving industries such as Pharmaceutical, Life Science, Semiconductor, and Institutional sectors. We offer services including hygienic process piping, gas distribution, clean steam, and high purity piping, among others.

We are seeking Pipefitters to fit, solder, and layout piping, mainly stainless-steel and carbon, for projects in the Raleigh/Durham area. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.

Key Duties:

• Lay out pipe systems according to blueprints.
• Install industrial process piping systems.
• Assemble or secure pipes and fittings by welding, brazing, soldering, or threading.
• Inspect systems using pressure tests or hydrostatic testing.
• Cut or bore holes in structures for pipe installation.
• Load/unload tools and materials.
• Set up and breakdown equipment at shifts' start/end.
• Use blueprints for planning.
• Prepare material lists.
• Maintain tools and safety equipment.
• Communicate with supervisors and support helpers.
• Complete as-built drawings.
• Follow safety policies and promote a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial process pipefitting experience.
• Experience with stainless-steel and carbon piping installation.
• Ability to fit, solder, and layout piping.
• Proficient with electrical and manual tools.
• Strong safety and teamwork skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
